ENJOYING THE PRACTICE SINCE 2006!

Thank you for checking out my website! My name is Sandra Partridge, and I am a licensed and Board Certified massage therapist with a private practice in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, located about 20 minutes outside the beautiful and historic town of Milford, and minutes away from the Dingmans Ferry Bridge.

As I write this, I will be celebrating seventeen years as a Massage Therapist this October, 2023! I remember telling myself when I first started that I would retire from this profession after 20 years, but as I am edging closer to that goal, I realize that I do not want to retire from something that I am truly passionate about.

After the first year graduating from massage school, I immediately signed up for continuing education courses at North Jersey Massage Training Center in Parsippany, NJ, where I met the charismatic Larry Heisler, who is the school director, educator, and talented, well-seasoned massage therapist. In the beginning, I remember Larry telling us that after you practice 10,000 hours of massage (or anything for that matter), you have mastered it. Of course, being so new and much younger, I didn’t understand how it felt to master anything at that point in my life, but I couldn’t wait to get there!

So, here I am, 17 years and easily over 10,000 massages later, It was only recently that I felt a “shift” happen. It’s hard to explain, but I guess I can describe it as finally feeling completely at home with what I do. Practicing massage has become more of a passion- something that I sincerely look forward to everyday. I even actually miss it when I’m away from it for too long (how many people can say that about their jobs?). I wonder if Larry felt the same “shift” when he hit the master level?

As I reflect back on my career, it hasn’t been the easiest road. Over the years I’ve managed to hobble around the table with a broken or sprained ankle (something that seemed to happen at least once a year), rotator cuff injuries, severe back pain, swollen knees and extreme exhaustion from Lyme disease.

Most recently, I recovered from many injuries due to a head-on collision with a drunk driver in December, 2019. There was a brief moment when I thought that I would have to give up my beloved career, but the thought of the possibility of being forced to sit behind a desk was enough to make me more bound and determined to recover and get back to serving my purpose!

I believe that if it wasn’t for being involved in the health and wellness industry for so many years, I would not have recovered as fast or completely as I did. Most importantly, the love, prayers and support I received from family, friends and even strangers was, I believe, the most powerful source of healing of all. It was a long, hard road, but here I am, more productive and happier than ever!

Life can be really hard, and I’ve learned that you have to create your own peace in the midst of madness (i.e. the aftermath of Covid and current events on the news). Just be a good person. It’s that simple. I’ve also learned that It’s my responsibility to keep moving forward, no matter what! We can make the decision to spread either love and kindness, or fear and hate. I’ve realized that my life is not just about me, because my choice of actions and words (especially on social media) affects others as well!

Make wise decisions about what you do and say, my friends. In the end, people are not going to come to your funeral because you had a mansion, Bentley, or a Yacht. Nope. They will come in droves because of the way you made them feel!

Be well, happy and kind!
